Seti Devi temple is situated on the west of Ilam bazaar at
the bank of Puwa Khola. It is also one of the Hindu important religious and
spiritual site of Ilam District. It is dedicated to goddess setidevi (the wite
goddess, Parvati. According to legend, a shepherd discovered his cow was giving
milk a large rock, the rock was goddess parvati.
The Setidevi Temple is in Shikhara style, surrounded by dance
forest, situated in peace, tranquility and the beauty of nature. A lots of
devotes used to visit this temple during the great festival Dashain. It is just
1h30 walking from Ilam bazaar thought terraced rice paddies and groves of
bamboo.
