Tinghare Bazar, Ilam

Tinghare Bazar is a weekly market place in the east of Ilam. On Sunday, there is market day. It is on the Mechi Highway. People form Bhitri, Dodak, Suntale, Maghe, Aitabare, Malim, Jarsinggaun, Laximpur, Santipur, Jaubari come to buy and sell cash crops. The businessmen from Silgari, Darjeeling, Jhapa come to buy ginger, potato, broom, cardamom, words etc. it is a beautiful hill town of Suryadaya Municipality Fikkal. It is best for site scenes of Terai, Sunrise view and cultural dances. It has the hight of 1580 meters abouve sea level. Its “Tin” means “three” and ‘ghare’ means “homes”. In the past there were only three homes so it was called Tinghare but now, it is growing up.
