Gajurmukhi Temple Ilam

Gajurmukhi Temple (devisthan) is a renowed religious place in the eastern belt of nepal. It lies in a riverbed of the Deumai river, at an altitude of 500m. It is a popular belief that those who worship in gajurmukhi devisthan will be blessed with child if they have none, those who can not speak will be given voice, and other miracles will also be fulfilled. Gajurmukhi devisthan is 40 km from ilam via mangalbare. A huge fair is organized in the area on Kartik Purnima according to the nepali calender. A number of hotels and lodges are available in the area.
