Todake Waterfalls Ilam

It is a majour natural place to visit of Mai Majhuwa Village of Sandakpur Municipality in Ilam District, Mechi Zone.This is the tallest waterfall in Ilam District and is the second highest fall of Nepal. The water fall has 280 feet hight which is situated about 40 kilometer to the west of Mai Khola river in the middle of dense forest, an elevation 1600 meter from the sea level. It has very pleasant atmosphere, Rainbow can b seen in the sunny day which looks very wonderful scene. The water fall is the home of different rare species where a lot of visitors from different place come to observe the natural water fall and studies the rare species. Beside of this, spectacular view of natural landscapes, green hills srounding can observe. We can reach wither 4/5 hours walking form Ilam Bazar or about one hour drive from Fikkal to Mai Khola via Nayabazar then an hour walking from Mai Khola. Best time to visit is March, April, September and October.

Siddhithumka Trip: There are mainly three routes to reach Siddhithumka. Among these routes if we prefer to use vehicles, we can set off from the district headquarters and reach Panchami Bazaar through Nepaltar, Mangalbare and Jitpur. But in the winter we can start our trip from Golakhark Bhanjyang of Ilam to Panchami Bazaar, through Puwakhola Satake Bagar, Masar of Sangrumba Ratekhola and Gorkhi Gaun and visiting Falgunand Manghil temple. Besides this, we can also reach Panchami bazaar from Birtamod of Jhapa, through Khudunabari, Danabari, Chisapani and Soyak and Namthala of Siddhithumka of Ilam. We can also reach there on foot from Satake toSoyak Lungropa to Kuppani siddhithumka Information Cetre office using the motorable road; or from Golakhark Bhanjyang of the headquarters, through Puwakhola Satake Bagar, Masar Ratokhola of Sangrumba and then using the road of Simle or Nindakhu. It takes three hours to reach Siddhithumka from Ilam bazaar.

Pangkhelung, a two steps Falls of Siddhithumka is situated at wards no 9, this waterfall is very attractive destination where we can observed natural diversity along with diverse plants, herbs and Paaha(a kind of frog). The community has special identity with name of Kaali Daaha, Changlangh Pahara, where Changlangh Giant has leave around it. The height of the fall is One thousand five meter that lies downward from Soyak Bhanjyang up to Phungkhelung stream that is nearby the road.
