Chhintappa Pokhari lies at Maimajhuwa VDC-6 between Ilam and Panchthar district is public land at the height of 3115 meters. The pond is covered with community forest. The area of pond is 0.07 hectare. It is 70 km far north from Ilam. The place is a popular tourist spot to see mountain plants, herbs, watching visitors can see Mt. Kanchanjunga, Kumbhakarna and Everest etc. Terai, Ilam, Panchthar, Taplejung frost covers the pond in the winter only trekking.
