Barbote 6 Days Homestay Program

Barbote is a small hilly village of Ilam District, situated at 1600m an altitude from sea level, very closed to Ilam Bazzar. The village Barbote has about five thousand population. This village is inhabited by different ethnic groups such as the Brahmin, Chhetri, Limbu, Rai, Tamang, Sunuwar, Gurung, Shrestha, Magar, Damai, Kami, and Sarki. Agriculture is the main profession major cash crops rabbits, cardamom, vegetables and Milk.
Home Stay program provides the participants with an excellent opportunity to learn about all aspects of Nepali culture, lifestyle, language, food and people, Nepali cooking, dancing, playing instruments, games. Participants should remember that this is a cultural exchange and that an effort to offer some knowledge of their own home culture and customs to the family with whom they stay is appreciated.


Program

Day 01 Welcome at Bhadrapur airport and drive to Ilam by bus (about 4 hour). Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02 After having breakfast, visit to Narayanthan Temple (Hollt place), Ilam Tea Garden and oldest Tea factory of Nepal, Ilam Bazar and after lunch drive to Barbote village. Overnight Homestay in Barbote.
Day 03 After having breakfast, village tour, observe society, culture and daily life of local people and enjoy local nepali food. Overnight Homestay in Barbote.
Day 04 Early in the morning, breakfast and trek to Mai Pokhari and Deurali Bazar (Samll hills market) visiting the Maipokhari areas and back to family at evening. Overnight Homestay in Barbote.
Day 05 After having breakfast, departure to Fikal Bazar by bus and afternoon visit Kanayam tea garden and tea factory. Overnight in Lodge.
Day 06 After breakfast, visit to Pasupati boarder market (Boarder with India) and Monastery of Lapacha ethnic community and drive to Bhadrapur Airport and evening stay at Kathmandu.
