Purne Hill in Ilam

Purane Hill is a popular place for sunrise view in Suryodaya Municipality Fikkal. It is located at 1780 meters height. Visitors can observe spectacular view of rising sun in the early morning, scenery of Kanyam tea garden, factory, and landscapes. Surrounding of the hill, pine forest make the land attractive for them. In the past, there local people arranged Purne mela (fair) they played a cultural musical instrument “Jhyamta” and danced by which the name of market for 3 days called Jhamtae Mela. Now it stopped. Still Rai’s perform the silli dance there on the month of Mansir and Baisakha.
