Chhintapu is the second highest peak of Ilam. The trek it offers demands at least 3 hours of you time but gives back a lot more than that. En-route, you will find many species of the national flower, especially red Rhododendrons. They not only make your trek look easier but give you a reason to stop and appreciate. One might be lucky to come across musk deer and red panda on the way. Various spots on the trek let you awe at the snow clad mountains and Mt. Kanchenjunga that are easily visible.
